This little world of dolls and imagination began when I started creating toys for my daughter, and it grew as she grew.
Alongside my talented mom and dedicated assistant Abigail, we have so much fun filling the shelves of our studio with the dolls and their accessories.
Our studio sits behind my home, in a small coastal village in the Eastern Cape of South Africa.
Perched on a clifftop, we hear the waves crashing on the rocks and the wind through the pine trees.
It is this closeness to nature that inspired the story card and map that comes with each doll. It is also inspiration to keep the dolls as natural as possible - working with wool from local farms, and linens and cottons. We do use a bit of glitter tulle and synthetics here and there, but only in small parts as needed.
There is a joy that comes in creating something with care, in taking time over small details and the feel of working with quality fabrics.
These dolls are not rushed, and we love the process as much as the finished product.
